Ford Ranger EA Review
The new Ranger EA review is a much-improved truck. Its re-invigorated exterior is eye-catching, and the interior looks classier inside, too. The big fancy touch screen is a nice thing to show off to your mates. But it does not respond well to multiple touches and navigating menus can be cumbersome.
It also has a lot of safety gear, and it passed all of our crash tests. The airbags did not inflate or deploy unnecessarily, and dummy readings of chest protection were good. The AEB – which can autonomously brake, reverse and steer if the driver becomes disorientated – is useful, too. However, it did not manage to avoid a rear-end collision with a stationary object during the reversing test, nor could it detect pedestrians and cyclists in the lane ahead during the vulnerable road user tests.
Ranger EA Review: Exploring the Features
The headline V6 makes 184kW and 600Nm, matching the HiLux’s 2.8-litre four for pulling power. It also has 3500kg braked trailer towing capability, a massive figure for this class. The diesel is surprisingly refined, and even with a high-tech bi-turbo engine, it’s not noisy.
The Ranger EA has a lot of features to make it work with different types of trading instruments and chart timeframes, and you can tweak its default settings to match your own risk preferences. It has a built-in lot redistribution system, so it can prevent your account from falling in sharp one side market movements. It also uses a fixed cycle to avoid entering trades when the risk is too high.
